May 2026
We skipped springtime this year…we went from winter to summer overnight, it seems. Two weeks ago there were barely buds on the trees and now things are very green. Bailey spent her second birthday at her trainer’s farm. Her trainer likes her very much and says she is very smart. We have seen video of Bailey working in a round pen without any halter or anything! We are so pleased with her progress and are looking forward to seeing more as the weeks go on. She won’t be back with us until at least the end of July.
This baby bunny showed up in Bailey and Lexi’s barn. So cute!
Lexi is also spending a little time with her trainer for a refresher course. Her trainer says she seems to remember right where they left off last summer. She is going to try a new style of bit with Lexi and we are hoping she will be able to come home in another week or so. We want to try riding her during camp this year…but only Yankee and Ellie because Lexi is only three and so a little unpredictable.
Sapphie is doing very well with her feet. She is still wearing her boots and has gone on several walks around the loop as well as working in the arena. Her friends call her when she is out working and are very happy when she goes back into her barn lot. We have very high hopes for using her this summer during camp.
We are excited for camp to be starting soon. There won’t be any blog posts during June or July because we will be focused on providing the exceptional camp experience we have all known. We can’t wait for our counselors and campers to arrive!
Peaches and Sapphie like to run together!
Here comes Sapphie!
